The television ministry of First Assembly at present consists of a weekly 30 minutes discussion segment where issues of country interest are discussed using a biblical base. The programme “Choices” have been on air now for 3 years 10 months. There has not been a break in transmission during this period.
Choices, is now known in and around Christian circles as well as wider a field and the reviews have been good with regards to content.
Background:

The programme “Choices” have been on air now for 3 years 10 months. There has not been a break in transmission during this period.

This 30 minutes television programme, commenced on December 2003, this idea was coined by the Senior Pastor Rev. Massiah and executed by the programmes’ first producer Michael Gordon.
It was designed with the objective to address current issues from a Biblical perspective. These issues are addressed by competent persons who come on set from time to time to discourse.
When the programme commenced, it had a two men panel ( Reverend Massiah and Reverend Medroy Brandt), now three pastors are sitting week after week discussing issues that affect Guyana and are engaging all the stakeholders by these discussions.
Choices is not a religious programme, it deals with hard core issues that many are sometimes afraid to attempt to talk about publicly.
The set of Choices is made up of a Technical team, which comprises of 7 persons who have sole responsibility for audio and video, camera recording, editing and make-up. The main panel consists of Reverend Massiah, a graduate of the University of Guyana, The Assemblies of God, Bible Institute, Guyana and the Haggi Institute where leaders from around the world are trained, Reverend Winston Assanah, a young pastor who has responsibility of Youth at First Assembly is a graduate from the Assemblies of God, Bible Institute and the University of Guyana. Pastor Anthony Semple another young pastor, has responsibility for music at First Assembly, he is also a graduate from the Assemblies of God, Bible Institute.
It is produced weekly and aired at 18:00 hrs, on Vieira Telecommunciations, channel 28 every Saturday evening.
