The Royal Ranger Standards
Royal Rangers Emblem: At the very foundation is a gold circle that represents Jesus “as the sun of righteousness rising with healing in His wings.” Mal 4:2. The past, present, and future of Rangers rests on the sure foundation of Jesus Christ. Around this circle is another circle of pure white, like a halo. Like the purity that radiates from Christ Himself

Activities of the Ministry: The Royal Rangers ministry incorporates both fun and accomplishment in its ministry methods. During a regular Ranger year, members are exposed to theoretical knowledge, informal and informal education Biblical principles and also adventure and advancement training. These feature great indoor and outdoor activities including camping, water activities, recreation, first aid, crafts, hobby skills, nature study, sports achievements, awards, trips, Bible study, and much more. The advancement training serves as an asset of standard requirements structured to suit each of the various outposts and offers an opportunity or promotion. And the Council of Achievement (a tradition in the Royal Rangers and a principle event), provides the forum for honouring and awarding Rangers for their successful achievement. Here is where merits, badges, patches, and trophies are presented. The event also gives the ministry the chance to showcase the many talents cultured and nurtured through the Royal Rangers program. These include poetry, drama, dance, public speaking, singing etc.

History of the Ministry
Royal Rangers is a world wide ministry which is designed to reach, teach, and keep boys for Jesus Christ. It was created by the Assemblies of God in 1962, and has grown to more nations than ever imagined. It is currently in more than 50 countries world wide.
In Guyana, the Royal Rangers Ministry of the First Assembly of God Wortmanville is reaching to that place of national recognition. It has been in existence for (23) years, with the main goal of cementing a foundation of Christ in boys, as well as ministering to their other needs.
Throughout the years, the Royal Rangers Ministry has hosted many successful camps. The camping activity, dubbed Camporama, has been held at Camp Lions, Soesdyke – South of the Linden – Soesdyke Highway. In fact, Lions has been the adopted campsite of the ministry for quite a number of years and holds a special place in the hearts of many Rangers. Treading from the campsite, down a sometimes cool, breezy path of rich sands, and further down a steeply positioned hill, only to end up at the even cooler bronze coloured waters of the “Red Water Creek” serves as a steady reminder of the beauty of nature.
In recent years, Camporama has been opened to visiting churches such as Tucville Assembly where exposure to informative workshop sessions and activities, geared to expanding and challenging the boy completely, were had. Consequently, the knowledge gained from the entire camping experience helped in the establishment of many Royal Rangers Ministries locally.
Over the years, the ministry has seen many young men come to the Lord Jesus Christ, following Him in water baptism. In academic pursuits, two of our young Commanders have been studying to secure diplomas in Civil Engineering at the University of Guyana and three have pursued studies in various disciplines at the Government Technical Institute, while others have gone on into the world of work.
Work of the Ministry
The Royal Rangers Ministry seeks to fulfil firstly the mandate of Jesus which is to spread the gospel to all parts of the earth, thereby providing an exciting opportunity for a boy/young man to discover a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
It also provides action and adventure for young men, developing the total person for Christ, spiritually, physically, mentally, and socially, beginning from the age of 5 yrs: and in effect, enables its members to become more successful in every area of their lives.
The Royal Rangers comprises of four main outposts:
Rangers Kids
(Ages 5, 6, & 7)
Ranger Kids introduces youngsters to the great outdoors through a non-camping program that encourages indoor and outdoor field trips and day camps.
Discovery Rangers
(Ages 8, 9, & 10)
The boys in this outpost will acquire experience in a variety of indoor and outdoor activities and events that include an introduction to camping.
Adventure Rangers
(Ages 11, 12, &13)
Adventure Rangers will continue to participate in indoor and outdoor activities that will include camping and non-camping events, personal and life-skill development, and further opportunities for leadership skills growth.
Expedition Rangers
(Ages 14, 15, 16, & 17)
Spiritual growth is emphasized through the “Spirit Challenge” lessons, which help young men to mature and to apply spiritual truths to their everyday lives. Hereafter, they are catapulted into leadership positions such as Outpost Guides and Commanders.
Resting on these are the Eight Blue Points of the Ranger Code.
The very essence of what a Royal Ranger *IS*!!
These sign posts of integrity are what the commanders of the Royal Rangers, with the help of the Holy Spirit, intend to erect in the lives of the boys that they touch.
And they are the bricks with which the testimonies of their lives are built.
Alert, Clean, Honest, Courageous, Loyal, Courteous, Obedient, Spiritual

Next, are the Four Red Points – the Cardinal teachings of the church – the beliefs that we in the Royal Rangers hold to and which define us as human beings:
Salvation, which brings us back to God; the Holy Spirit, who empowers us to become more like Christ; Healing, the power of God in our live, both physically and spiritually; the Rapture, the Blessed Hope which we long for.
These all *support* the top.

The Four Gold Points – the four ways a boy grows.
These are the end result of a boy growing into a complete man, Christ like and able to lead. This is God’s purpose and ultimate goal – the Four Gold Points exhibited in every boy who grasps the passion of Jesus through the Royal Ranger Adventure.
Physical, Spiritual, Mental, Social
Covering all this is the golden letters of the Royal Rangers, floating on the red Blood of Christ, separating us from the world we are yet in.
