Bio- Pastor Massiah
Rev M Raphael Massiah is a distinguished son of Guyana. His upbringing and exposure to social and spiritual conditions in his immediate and regional environment has been strategic in nurturing empathy and compassion for the peoples of the Third World and further afield.
He was converted over thirty-five years ago and has pastored faithfully for over two decades at the same church.
Rev Massiah’s pursuit of academic excellence has led to the acquisition of Degrees in Management and Theology. Additionally, he is the first Guyanese to be certified by Haggai Institute as an International Facilitator at their Maui and Singapore Centers and is also the Resident Coordinator for the same.
He has also earned a Masters in Theology at Global University and as a professional in his chosen fields has worked in Corporate Management from 1982 and has lectured at both secular and theological institutions and as a consultant in matters of Management and Leadership.
He is presently the Senior Pastor of a vibrant and fast-growing Assembly of God Church and Faculty member of the Assemblies of God Bible Institute in Guyana.
Rev Massiah holds with dexterity and integrity the current positions of Assistant General Superintendant of the Assemblies of God in Guyana; Vice President of the International Third World Leadership Association (ITWLA); Resident Co-ordinator and Faculty of Haggai institute; Faculty of Assembly of God Bible College Guyana, Chairman of the Georgetown Ministers Fellowship and Pastoral Advisor of the Women’s Aglow in Guyana, Chairman of the Georgetown Ministers’ Fellowship (Inter-denominational).
Pastor Massiah and his wife Angela, have three children - Marissa, Melinda and Martin. Together they are determined to change the Caribbean family stereotype by personal and positive interpretation of family purpose and fulfillment under God.
