Motto: Men Ministering to Men. Past Men’s Ministries Presidents Brother Paul Layne Elder Wilbert Lee Pastor Randolph Singh Pastor Marcel Hutson Assistant Pastor Raphael Jackman Present Men’s Ministries President Minister Wesley Adams Activities Games Night They say all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy! These games night activities create a forum for fun and relaxation among brethren. Behold how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together! Not only are different fellowships invited to participate, but the community as well, has taken part in various events. Domino competitions, table tennis, soccer matches and many more, have all been testimony to our commitment to go into the world and save a soul. Evangelism through these nights has seen many saved souls and now members of our local church. Visitation: Similar to soldiers, we are thought to never leave a wounded one behind. Regular visits to men in and around the community and the local church have shown the men that we are our brothers’ keeper. Encouragement and advice is given to those in need. Spiritual upliftment through the Word of GOD is imparted to these souls, be it Jew or Gentile. Street Evangelism: The Men’s Ministries at periods take the streets, reaching other men in their place of pleasure. Street corners, shops and bus stops, all places where you can find men. The MM, reach and teach the unsearchable riches of the Lord Jesus Christ. These come in the form of street walks, open air services and house visits. Sermonettes: These forums provide opportunities for the men to sharpen their word blessed faith. Special evenings are set aside for iron to sharpen iron, as different ones are called upon to write mini sermons and present them to the gathering. Through these sermonettes, the gift of God was made manifest in many lives and were nurtured to further growth in the ministry. Many of the men that have passed through Men’s Ministries and these evenings have moved up either in stature or leadership. Currently, it is a training ground for upcoming preachers within the fellowship. Health Watch: Men’s health today is a critical issue and needs to be dealt with at every given opportunity. Christian doctors are invited to talk to us about different topical issues that are affecting our health. Advice on a healthy lifestyle, eating habits, workout routines and much, more, is given for the improvement of our lives. Movie Night: Both local and regional videos are shown on selected nights to keep abreast with what is going on with men around the world. Movies that can be used as teaching aids for particular life principles and methods also form part of the selection of movies viewed. Cook Outs: Who said men cannot cook!? Some afternoons/evenings, droves of men gather to have cook outs at various locations. We all know that where there is food, there are men! Brothers share their cooking views on various dishes, and even teach the “shy” men that do not know how to cook, what to do. Annual Prayer Breakfast: Not only is this a fund raiser for the department, but it is a time of fellowship and togetherness for fathers and sons to pray as one, for themselves and nation. The annual prayer breakfast brings the Men’s Ministries and Royal Rangers together for us to sing praises, pray fervently and rejoice in unity for the victory. Local breakfast dishes are normally served at each of these events. Preparation, service, and fellowship — all done by men! The Men’s Ministries meet every Monday evening at 19:00 hrs. |
