I.S.O.M. – INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF MINISTRY
This Program commenced operation at First Assembly of God Wortmanville in 2003 and is currently under the directorship of Elder H. Angela Massiah who chairs the Christian Education Board.
The program is an International Diploma Program that focuses on international studies geared for mission work both local and overseas.
The program is a 15 month program that attract participants that are members Wortmanville for at least one year. In addition a fee of $28,000 dollars must be paid.
This program is particularly peculiar to First Assembly since the church focuses on capacity development of its members with a keen focus on Missions.
The program provides support to various ministries of the church and is an asset to those in departmental leaders, aspiring leaders and believers who what to know more of their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It also provides an excellent foundation for those interested in pursuing studies at the Assembly of God Bible College.
The program format is blended learning: There are international facilitators (via video) this is augmented by local church facilitators who engage in interactive discussions after viewing lecture tapes with the participants. The third and final component to this program is that each class has to select and deliver on a project of their choosing which incorporates everything they would have learnt during their course of study
The participants are exposed to examinations which are graded here by the facilitators and certificates are awarded at a graduation exercise on Celebration Day.
