What to expect

If you are thinking of a place to hear the enriched truths of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ or if you feel the need to visit, then First Assembly of God Wortmanville is the church to visit. You would not regret your stay since there is a warm welcome that awaits everyone  upon being greeted by competent ushers or the protocol team and by extension our members that seems to always wear a pleasant smile.

Remember main services are held on Sunday morning services: 7AM and 11AM and Youth Service at 6PM, Wednesday at 6:30pm (Bible Study), Thursday morning at 10AM (Deliverance Service), Friday at 6:30PM (Prayer Meeting).

As you enter any of these services you will experience a rich out pouring of the Holy Spirit as he uses or operate in the gifts of his people. So as you enter in worship sessions the Holy Spirit takes full control.
As the messages are delivered in a very professional manner by either of the many pastors the Holy Spirit will speak to his people collectively or individually. One thing of note, is that it will be done in a professional manner and is of high standard.
You may also experience Divine Healing which is a critical component of the Faith. In addition the speaking in tongues by almost all members and dependent on your availability to be filled you may be speaking in tongues before the service is through.
At the end of it all you will feel at home in a relaxed and Holy Ghost filled atmosphere. The most visible person you will encounter is the HOLY SPIRIT.
COME AND BE BLESSED.

CONVERT’S CLASS

These are special classes designed to teach Christian practices and the fundamental doctrines of the Assemblies of God before the young convert is baptized.
Baptism started from the installation of the church as ordained by the word of God.
These sessions span a three month period on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6PM – 7PM and are conducted by Pastor Singh, Pas. Cannings, Deacon Adams and Deacon Dey both at Children Church building and in the main Sanctuary.
These classes are divided into two sections: one the actual teaching of standards and the doctrines for two months and secondly one month tarrying and praying for the in filling of the Holy Spirit.
Baptism is conducted approximately thrice per year with an average of 30 – 40 persons per baptism. This Ordinance of the church is conducted by a number of the Pastors including Senior Pastor Rev. M.R.Massiah at the Hararuni creek on the Soedyke Linden Highway. For safety precaution measures strong swimmers are present during baptism.

As much as possible all converts that complete all sessions are baptized, with the exception of those that are in, 'living home situations' and those of habitual fornication. Upon baptism they are enrolled in the discipleship classes.
If you do not Jesus as Lord and Personal Savior we invite you to visit with us, give your life to Jesus and be enrolled in our convert’s class to be baptized.

DISCIPLESHIP CLASSES

These are special designed classes for converts just after baptism. This is in effect taught to converts on how to disciple others and how to use the word of God to disciple others.
These classes are divided into five sessions after which they are received into fellowship.  These classes are conducted with special emphasis:
* Infilling of the Holy Spirit
* Teaching fasting and praying and bible reading
The sessions are held on Friday nights between 18:30 hrs and 20:45 hrs in the church sanctuary and are conducted by Pastor Taitte (has sole responsibilities), Pastor Jackman and Bro. Lorex Edwards.
These classes are deemed effective since various gifts are being revealed and are therefore channeled into the respective department. In addition short comings are recognized and methods to deal with same are implemented.
